Your Local Vet - Dr Nigel Steyn
Nigel is one of six Vets4Pets practice partners. He manages your Northgate practice and hospital.

Dr. Steyn has acquired a wealth of experience over the last two decades in small animal practice.

His first degree in veterinary medicine was obtained in Zimbabwe in 1992. He then completed the rigorous Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons examinations in the UK in 1995.


After migrating to Australia with his family Nigel completed postgraduate training in small animal surgery in 2004 and an AO course in small animal orthopaedics in 2006.

Nigel’s special interests are small animal orthopaedic surgery, ferret medicine and surgery and native animal medicine and surgery.

Outside work he enjoys his young family and occasional archery.
